Reflection spectrum of a hybrid-structure fiber sensor based on two peanut-shape structures and a FBG is proposed. The measurement is based on the intensity demodulation and realizes the sensing by using the relationship between intensity of backwards transmitted cladding modes and curvature variation. This method simplifies the optical fiber sensing system and cuts down the potential cost.
