研究目的
To present a hardware and software co-emulation technique based Solar Photo-Voltaic Module Emulator (SPVME) to emulate solar PV Sources for performance evaluation of PV based energy conversion systems under varying environmental conditions.
研究成果
The proposed SPVME uses a single diode solar PV cell model to emulate the characteristics of the PV module, which is a generalized model that can be used to emulate any commercially available PV model in the market. The SPVME prototype tracks the load resistance using the load tracking algorithm and emulates the characteristics of the PV module. Static and dynamic characteristics analysis on the developed SPVME can be repeated in the same conditions easily. The comparison of results shows that the P-V and I-V curves match the simulation curves of the emulated PV module. This proposed SPVME can be used as an alternative to emulate the PV sources, which can be used to design MPPT algorithm and power converters in laboratory environment.
研究不足
The proposed SPVME requires a programmable DC power supply and specific software (LabVIEW and Multisim) for operation, which may not be readily available in all laboratories. Additionally, the accuracy of the emulation depends on the precision of the mathematical model and the hardware used.
