1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
CQDs were prepared by chemical oxidation using lu?a sponge based activated carbon ?ber as raw materials. The ?uorescence quenching effect of Cr(VI) ion on CQDs was investigated.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
Lu?a sponge was purchased from Luohe Huahui Daily Necessities Co., Ltd. All reagents were analytical grade.

High-resolution transmission electron microscope (JEM-2100F), confocal microscopic Raman spectrometer (InVia), spectro?uorometer (Sigma), UV?vis spectrometer (UNICOWFUV-2), X-ray diffractometer (D8 Advance), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (Nexus), dynamic light scattering particle size analyzers (NANOZS).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
Preparation of LSACF, preparation of LSACF-based CQD, calculation of quantum yield and fluorescence decay lifetime, determination of Cr(VI) using CQDs.
5:Data Analysis Methods
Fluorescence quantum yield was determined by the reference method. The exponential decay curve was fitted to calculate the fluorescence decay lifetime.
