研究目的
To summarize recent progress on the surface modification of TiO2 in planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and elucidate the functions of different modifiers in improving device performance.
研究成果
Significant progress has been made in surface modification of TiO2, leading to obvious enhancements of both the device efficiency and stability of PSCs. Versatile modifiers have been used to modulate TiO2's electronic properties and defect states, affecting the quality of perovskite thin films and the interface between perovskite and TiO2. The review concludes with outstanding questions that guide future exploration of new materials for surface modification of TiO2 aiming at further enhancement of device performance.
研究不足
The review acknowledges the need for in-depth understanding of the underlying mechanisms accounting for the effect of surface modification of TiO2 on device performance. It also points out the challenges in differentiating the functions of various metal oxides and the criteria for selecting suitable fullerene derivatives for modifying TiO2.
