研究目的
Investigating the effect of incorporating trifluoromethyl substituents on the photovoltaic performance of quinoxaline-based small molecules in organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs).
研究成果
The incorporation of strong electron-withdrawing CF3 groups into quinoxaline-based small molecules significantly enhances their photovoltaic properties in inverted type BHJ OPVs, mostly by improving Voc. This study provides insights into the effect of using a strong electron-withdrawing CF3 moiety in organic semiconductors to improve the performances of their various applications.
研究不足
The study focuses on the effect of CF3 substituents on the photovoltaic performance of quinoxaline-based small molecules, but does not explore other substituents or their combinations. The surface roughness and RMS data hardly affect the overall performances of OPVs, indicating potential areas for optimization in device fabrication.
