The study provides a foundation for further applications of spiral structures in plasmonic vortex generation.

The quality of the generated plasmonic vortex is influenced by the attenuation of SPP fields and the value of α. The valid region for generating intact vortices is limited and depends on the geometric charge of the spiral and the material of the film.
