To investigate H-polarized plane wave scattering characteristics on waveguide Van Atta array, located on perfect conducting cylinder, in dependence of aperture size and position, waveguide lengths, elements spacing and cylinder radius.

The study demonstrates the possibility of widening the angular sector of the scattering diagram of Van Atta arrays on perfectly conducting cylinders by adjusting geometric parameters. The widest angular sector is achieved with dense element arrangement and specific segment height on the cylinder surface. The inclusion of two-way amplifiers can improve diagram smoothness and RCS value.

The study assumes single-mode waveguides and coupling only through waveguides, which may not account for all real-world scenarios. The analysis is limited to perfect conducting cylinders and does not consider other materials or imperfections.
