The paper presents a modified design for a DC nanogrid using a single-stage switched boost inverter (SBI) and a control technique for the interconnection of multiple nanogrids within an OEDS. The proposed systems are shown to be robust and capable of delivering power to both AC and DC loads from a single DC input voltage source. The study suggests that the proposed systems can be applied to low-power loads in distant regions, small villages, and contemporary construction projects.
