To synthesize a nano-reticular structure cobalt diselenide (CoSe2) film with high electroconductivity and electrocatalytic properties by one-step electrodeposition method and apply it as a counter electrode for dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC).

The CoSe2 films synthesized by one-step electrodeposition exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity and electroconductivity, making them superior counter electrodes for DSSCs. The DSSC with CoSe2 CE achieved a maximum power conversion efficiency of 3.96%, significantly higher than that of Pt-based DSSCs. The study provides insights into the electrodeposition mechanism and the potential of CoSe2 films in photovoltaic applications.
