The study successfully demonstrated a stable all-fiber Q-switched erbium-doped laser using Cr2+:ZnSe nanocrystals as saturable absorbers, achieving a pulse width of 3.152 μs and a repetition rate of 34.452 kHz at a pump power of 300 mW. The results suggest that Cr2+:ZnSe nanocrystals are promising for the development of compact and efficient Q-switched fiber lasers.
