研究目的
Investigating the imprecisions induced when applying the Blaugrund approximation for the analysis of Doppler-shift attenuation lifetime measurements.
研究成果
The findings suggest that a careful revisiting, especially in crucial cases, should be achieved for lifetimes determined in the late 60-ies early 70-ies by using DSAM and the Blaugrund approximation. This implies that new experiments using advanced detection techniques as γ-γ coincidences have to be performed in important cases. The Blaugrund approximation is not necessarily wrong in itself for the analysis of experiments carried out in the past but combined with insufficiently good knowledge of stopping powers, side-feeding problems and too rough treatment of the nuclear reaction kinematics very often can be a source for large systematic errors.
研究不足
The study highlights the technical and application constraints of the experiments, including the use of imprecise stopping powers and the rough treatment of nuclear reaction kinematics in the past. It also points out the potential for large systematic errors due to these factors.
