研究目的
Investigating the effect of Nb addition on the microstructure, hardness, and wear resistance of laser cladding NiCrBSi coatings.
研究成果
The addition of Nb to NiCrBSi coatings prepared by laser cladding improves their microstructure, hardness, and wear resistance. The optimal Nb addition is 2 wt-%, which results in the highest hardness and wear resistance. Excessive Nb addition leads to larger NbC particles and reduced coating performance.
研究不足
The study is limited to the effects of Nb addition on NiCrBSi coatings prepared by laser cladding. The findings may not be directly applicable to other coating materials or preparation methods.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
NiCrBSi coatings with different Nb additions were prepared by laser cladding. The microstructure, phase composition, hardness, and wear resistance were analyzed.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Cr12MoV steel plate was used as the substrate. Commercial NiCrBSi powders with different pure Nb additions (0, 2, 4, 6 wt-%) were used as the coating materials.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
An IPG fibre laser system, SEM, EPMA, XRD, microhardness tester, and M-200 wear tester were used.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The laser cladding process parameters included a power of 1800 W, scanning velocity of 4 mm/s, beam size of 5 × 5 mm, powder feeding rate of 15 g/min, and argon flow rate of 15 L/min.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The microstructure was observed by SEM, phase composition by XRD, hardness by microhardness tester, and wear resistance by M-200 wear tester.
