研究目的
Investigating the photocatalytic, antibacterial, and electrochemical activities of WO3–TiO2 nanocomposite material.
研究成果
The WO3–TiO2 nanocomposite material exhibited higher photocatalytic, antibacterial, and electrochemical activities compared to TiO2. The material is stable and reusable, making it suitable for industrial green catalyst applications.
研究不足
The study focuses on the photocatalytic degradation of a specific dye (Acid block 1) under UV-light, and the antibacterial activity against specific strains. The applicability to other dyes or bacteria under different conditions is not explored.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The WO3–TiO2 nanocomposite material was synthesized by precipitation method and sonication technique. Sodium tungstate (Na2WO4) was dissolved in ethanol and added dropwise into tetra isopropyl orthotitanate solution. The solution was stirred, and con HNO3 and distilled water were added. The precipitate was washed, dried, and calcined at 400 °C.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Sodium tungstate (Na2WO4), tetra isopropyl orthotitanate, Acid block 1(AB 1), Citric acid, con HNO3 Sigma Aldrich, and aqueous solutions were prepared using deionized water.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Shimadzu UV-1650 PC recording spectrometer, FEI Quanta FEG 200 instrument, PHILIPS CM200, X'PERT PRO model X-ray diffractmeter, Perkin-Elmer LS 55 fluorescence spectrometer, Hitachi-U-2001 spectrometer, CHI 60 AC electrochemical analyzer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The photocatalytic activities were evaluated by the photodegradation of dye under UV lamp at 365 nm. The antibacterial activity was studied by disc diffusion method. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurements were carried out.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The data were analyzed using UV–Vis absorbance spectra, HR-SEM, HR-TEM, XRD, PL, UV–Vis DRS, and BET.
