The proposed scheme supports a new way to realize THz multi-carrier signals generation via DPMZMs in parallel, achieving excellent SMSR and good power flatness. The frequency interval and spectrum bandwidth of the THz signals can be adjusting flexibly with the adjustment the frequency of the RF source.

The asymmetrical optical coupling ratio would deteriorate the flatness and the SMSR of generated multi-carrier. Power fluctuation and the SMSR drops dramatically when the coupling ratio of the coupler is higher than 56:44.

The scheme is based on DPMZM in parallel and recirculating frequency shifter (RFS) for generating multi-carrier THz signals.
