研究目的
To model the soliton interactions of Manakov soliton trains subjected to composite external potentials and to demonstrate that the potentials can change the asymptotic regimes of the soliton trains.
研究成果
The PCTC provides an adequate description for a large variety of soliton trains containing from 2 to 9 solitons and going into different asymptotic regimes. The inter-channel interaction affects only the evolution of the polarization vectors, leading to 'breathing' of the solitons if the constant c1 is real.
研究不足
The study is limited to the adiabatic approximation and does not cover all possible configurations of soliton trains and external potentials. The validity of the PCTC diminishes with stronger potentials.
