Co doping in TiO2 nanocrystals synthesized by a sol?gel method leads to significant band-gap narrowing and induces room-temperature ferromagnetism at lower Co concentrations, while higher concentrations result in paramagnetic behavior. The study provides a detailed understanding of the magnetic properties through the estimation of bound magnetic polarons concentration, which is advantageous for applications in spintronic and magneto-optic devices.

1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
A simple, low-temperature sol?gel method was used for the synthesis of undoped and Co-doped TiO2 nanocrystals. Titanium butoxide and cobalt nitrate were used as precursors. The samples were calcined at 400 °C for

4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The sol?gel products were calcined and characterized using XRD, Raman spectroscopy, HR-TEM, ED-XRFS, FT-IR, UV?vis, PL, XPS, and VSM.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Rietveld refinement of XRD data, deconvolution of Raman and PL spectra, Tauc’s plot for band gap estimation, Langevin fitting for BMP concentration estimation.
