研究目的
To present a modified scattering model of row wheat at X-band that considers both the surface scattering of soil and the volume scattering of wheat canopy, and to analyze the interaction between electromagnetic wave and surface objects in cereal crops.
研究成果
The modified scattering model for row wheat at X-band, integrating traditional VRT equation and AIEM, could better reflect the complicated mechanism of row planting cereal crops. The difference of backscattering coefficients between simulated and measured transferred with the temporal variation of wheat growth parameters.
研究不足
The model should be improved to develop the accuracy of visible area in different incidence angles.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used a modified scattering model based on AIEM and the radiation transmission model to analyze the scattering characteristics of row wheat at X-band.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Data were collected from a pilot field in Qionglai county, Chengdu city, Sichuan province, China, including wheat growth parameters and backscatter coefficients.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
A frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FM-CW) full-polarization radar with a dual-antennae system was used.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Six experimental acquisitions were carried out over the field from Nov.15 2011 to May.13 2012, covering different wheat growth stages.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The study analyzed the simulated backscatter at different incidence angles and polarizations to evaluate the model's accuracy.
