A coaxial 1-? shunt time constant standard has been successfully applied as a reference to extend the current range up to 100 A by calibrating a set of CTs in a step-up procedure and down to 10 mA using the BICD. This setup efficiently covers current ranges from 10 mA to 100 A at frequencies from 50 Hz to 100 kHz in only four steps, with level dependence influences evaluated to be less than 20 ppm.
