研究目的
Investigating how different coaxial cables influence the impulse waveforms by measuring the input and output of the cable under test with a 2-channel digitizer.
研究成果
All tested coaxial and triaxial cables attenuated the test voltage and increased the time parameter values. The influence of the measuring cable cannot be neglected for resistive voltage dividers and the effect seems to be almost linear with the length of the cable.
研究不足
The theory behind the effect of the measuring cable is not clear and the results should be verified with a simulation model.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used an impulse voltage calibrator and two different digitizers to measure the input and output signals of various coaxial and triaxial cables.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Four types of coaxial cables and two types of triaxial cables were tested, with one coaxial cable type tested in three different lengths.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Impulse voltage calibrator, 2-channel digitizer, coaxial and triaxial cables.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The output of the generator was connected to the input channel of the digitizer and to the input end of the tested cable. The other end of the cable was connected to the channel 2 of the digitizer and terminated with its characteristic impedance.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The LI parameters were calculated according to IEC 60060-1:2010, with an average of 10 or 20 measurements used as a test result.
