To provide an overview of historic achievements and elaborate on more recent progress in electrofluidic and electrowetting displays, while making clear the exciting possibilities of the technology.
研究成果
Current understanding of electrowetting displays indicates the technology is suitable for bright, contrast-rich, colorful video displays at low power. At the current state of development, some application areas are still difficult to achieve (like high resolution mobile or transparent), but compensating for this is the availability of a large accessible market providing a significant 'niche' where the technology can mature to venture into the areas now still inaccessible.
