1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved the exfoliation of WS2 bulk crystals to obtain nanosheets, in-situ synthesis of gold nanoparticles (GNPs), and their self-assembly on WS2 nanosheets to form GNPs/WS2 nanocomposites. The nanocomposites were then used to construct a photoelectrochemical immunosensor for CEA detection.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Clinical serum samples were used to validate the immunosensor's applicability.

WS2 bulk crystals, N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), sodium citrate, HAuCl4, glassy carbon electrode (GCE), anti-CEA antibody, and ascorbic acid (AA) were among the materials used.
