研究目的
To synthesize TiO2 nanostructures in a controlled way and study the effects of surfactant (CTAB) and different solvents (ethanol and toluene) on the characteristics of the final product.
研究成果
A controlled synthesis method for TiO2 nanostructures was developed, demonstrating the effects of CTAB and solvent type on the product's characteristics. The nanostructures crystallized into anatase phase at 450 °C, with crystallite sizes of 3-5 nm. Ethanol led to spheroidal or needle-like primary particles and spherical agglomerates, while toluene resulted in irregular aggregates with porosity. The study provides insights into the formation mechanism of TiO2 nanostructures.
研究不足
The study did not determine the critical micellar concentration (CMC) for toluene due to handling difficulties. The proposed mechanism requires experimental verification for each reaction and process involved in the formation of TiO2 nanostructures.
