研究目的
To report a case of Argus II retinal prosthesis malrotation and repositioning with intraoperative optical coherence tomography in a patient with a posterior staphyloma, highlighting the challenges and solutions in achieving optimal array positioning.
研究成果
Intraoperative OCT is valuable for visualizing and correcting malrotation of the Argus II prosthesis, especially in patients with posterior staphyloma. Despite challenges in achieving full apposition to the retinal surface, significant visual and functional improvements can be obtained.
研究不足
The study is limited by being a single case report, which may not be generalizable to all patients with posterior staphyloma or undergoing Argus II implantation. The exact cause of malrotation could not be definitively determined.
