The TiO2 fiber membrane with wrinkle structure exhibits enhanced photocatalytic activity due to its high surface area and efficient electron–hole separation. The TPNs-20 sample shows the best performance, achieving 97% degradation of MO within 70 min. The study provides insights into the development of efficient photocatalysts for environmental remediation.

The study focuses on the photocatalytic degradation of MO under UV light, and the practical application under sunlight or other light sources is not explored. The recyclability of the photocatalyst is tested only up to four runs, and long-term stability is not assessed.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study employed an electrospinning technique combined with a sol–gel process to fabricate TiO2 fiber membranes with wrinkle structure. The morphology and surface structure were adjusted by varying the content of titanium (IV) n-butoxide (TNBT).
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
The samples were prepared with different TNBT contents (12 wt%, 16 wt%, 20 wt%, 24 wt%, and 28 wt%) and named TPNs-12, TPNs-16, TPNs-20, TPNs-24, and TPNs-28, respectively.

Materials included Titanium(IV) n-butoxide (TNBT), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), absolute ethanol, and acetic acid (HAc). Equipment included a Thermo-gravimetry with differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer, Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area analyzer, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and UV-vis spectrophotometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The electrospinning solution was prepared by mixing TNBT and PVP in a solution of DMF, ethanol, and HAc. The solution was electrospun under specific conditions, and the resulting precursor TiO2/PVP fiber membrane was annealed at 600°C for 3 h.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by degrading methyl orange (MO) under UV light irradiation, and the degradation was monitored using UV-vis spectrophotometry.
