研究目的
To study the optical coupling between a resonant subwavelength silicon nanodisk and a silicon nanowire, as probed by third harmonic generation microscopy and full-wave simulations.
研究成果
The study demonstrated that third harmonic generation from subwavelength silicon nanodisks is enhanced when their fundamental magnetic dipolar mode is resonantly excited. The presence of a nanowire was found to increase the third harmonic output from the nanodisk, explained by a re-distribution of the local fields and reduction of radiative losses. The findings represent an important step toward the integration of resonant all-dielectric nanostructures on photonic chips.
研究不足
The study focuses on the interaction between silicon nanodisks and nanowires, and the findings may not be directly applicable to other materials or configurations. The experimental setup and numerical simulations have inherent limitations in terms of resolution and accuracy.
