In conclusion, we have reported for the first time highly selective and sensitive CHEF-PET fluorescence probe for Mn2+, Cr3+ and F-. Proposed fluorescence probe has lower sensing limit as well as high selectivity towards 11 nM for Mn2+, 4 nM for Cr3+ and 19 nM for F-. Binding constants with strongly interacting ions were determined by fluorescence titration via PET and CHEF mechanism were found to be 7.21 × 108 M-1, 7.69 × 108 M-1 and 8.13 × 108 M-1 for Mn2+, Cr3+ and F- respectively. Furthermore, the present system has been applied for blood serum sample and industrial waste water sample for selective detection of Mn2+, Cr3+ and F- with 94 to 99 % recovery. Computational work has support the fluorescence enhancement and quenching for Mn2+, Cr3+ and F-. This highly sensitive, selective, easy and cost-effective PAD will provide great interest for routine analysis of Mn2+, Cr3+ and F-.
