Image Denoising Using Block-Rotation-Based SVD Filtering in Wavelet Domain
摘要: This paper proposes an image denoising method using singular value decomposition (SVD) with block-rotation-based operations in wavelet domain. First, we decompose a noisy image to some sub-blocks, and use the single-level discrete 2-D wavelet transform to decompose each sub-block into the low-frequency image part and the high-frequency parts. Then, we use SVD and rotation-based SVD with the rank-1 approximation to filter the noise of the different high-frequency parts, and get the denoised sub-blocks. Finally, we reconstruct the sub-block from the low-frequency part and the filtered the high-frequency parts by the inverse wavelet transform, and reorganize each denoised sub-blocks to obtain the final denoised image. Experiments show the effectiveness of this method, compared with relevant methods.

Design and Simulation of Novel Gated Integrator for the Heavy ion Beam Monitors System
摘要: In this study, the objective is to realize a Gated Integrator (GI) circuit for silicon strip, Si(Li), CdZnTe and CsI detectors etc. With the development of radioactive ion beam physics, heavy-charged particles like carbon ions have been applied to the treatment of deep-seated inoperable tumors in the therapy terminal of the Heavy ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL) located at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). A high resolution current measurement circuit was developed to monitor the beam current at 1pA range. The circuit consisted of a low current high sensitivity I/V converter and gated integrator in an energy spectroscopy. A low offset voltage precision amplifier and new guarding and shielding techniques were used in the I/V converter circuit which allowed to measure low current. This paper will show a MOS switch configuration which is used to prevent leakage current and novel technique to compensate a charge injection in the reset switch.

Experimental study and modeling cryogenic detectors decoupling within dry cryostat
摘要: The dry cryostat technology is based on pulse tube cryo-coolers and offers a good alternative to wet dilution cryostats. However, the main drawback is the production of vibrations induced by the pulse tube. These vibrations can be transmitted to the cryogenic detectors mounted in the cryostat and cause extra-noises dramatically affecting their performance. A solution to mitigate the impact of these vibrations is to mount the detectors on a suspended tower. For this purpose, vibrations in a dry cryostat were modeled and preliminary prototypes were investigated in the scope of R&D for the EDELWEISS-III experiment.

Analysis of impacting factors on polarimetric SAR oil spill detection
摘要: Polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) oil spill detection parameters conformity coefficient (μ), Muller matrix parameters (|C|, B0), the eigenvalues of simplified coherency matrix (λnos) and the influence of SAR observing parameters, ocean environment and noise level are investigated. Radarsat-2 data are used to make systematic analysis of polarimetric parameters for different incidences, wind speeds, noise levels and the ocean phenomena (oil slick and look likes). The influence of the SAR observing parameters, the ocean environment and the noise level on the typical polarimetric SAR parameter conformity coefficient has been analyzed. The results indicate that conformity coefficient cannot be simply used for oil spill detection, which represents the image signal to the noise level to some extent. When the signals are below the noise level for the oil slick and the look likes, the conformity coefficients are negative; while the signals above the noise level corresponds to positive conformity coefficients. For dark patches (low wind and biogenic slick) with the signal below the noise, polarization features such as conformity coefficient cannot separate them with oil slick. For the signal above the noise, the oil slick, the look likes (low wind and biogenic slick) and clean sea all have positive conformity coefficients, among which, the oil slick has the smallest conformity coefficient, the look likes the second, and the clean sea the largest value. For polarimetric SAR data oil spill detection, the noise plays a significant role. So the polarimetric SAR data oil spill detection should be carried out on the basis of noise consideration.

SNR analysis and estimation for efficient phase noise mitigation in millimetre-wave SC-FDE systems
摘要: This study demonstrates a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) analysis and estimation algorithm for efficient phase noise mitigation that can be practically applied to single-carrier frequency-domain-equalisation (SC-FDE) systems that operate in millimetre-wave bands. First, the effect of phase noise in SC-FDE systems is investigated on each of the packet reception processes, namely, channel estimation, SNR estimation, and data-field reception. According to the analysis, an SNR estimation algorithm is proposed. The performance of minimum-mean-square-error equalisation and conventional phase noise mitigation algorithm can be enhanced using the proposed SNR estimation. The effectiveness of the proposed analysis and SNR estimation algorithm is verified through the link-level simulation. Compared with the conventional SNR estimation and the iterative phase noise mitigation algorithms, the proposed algorithm provides a lower packet-error rate without any iterative decoding process.

Spatially Uniform Shallow Trap Distribution in an Ultrathin Organic Transistor
摘要: In organic electronic materials, charge carrier transport is often limited by disorder-induced trap states very close in energy to the ideal band transport states. We directly view the location and impact of these 'shallow' traps on an ultrathin transistor active layer using Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy. As the transistor turns on, dramatic fluctuations in the surface potential of the active channel suddenly arise due to charge trapping and release processes. Importantly, the spatial distribution of rapid fluctuations in surface potential is uniform throughout the active channel. These facts strongly constrain the microscopic origin of shallow charge traps, and associated efforts to optimize the mobility and noise performance baseline in device applications.

Imitational modeling of synchronous measuring detector with increased noise immunity and precision
摘要: In this paper, an example of application, simulation results, noise and precision properties of a synchronous measuring detector with increased noise immunity and precision (not less than 1%) for the operation providing of primary sensors – thermal sensors and bridge sensors, in particular Hall sensors for magnetic field measurements are considered. As a result of the research, it was discovered that increasing the sensitivity of magnetometers based on Hall sensors leads to the allocation of the initial useful signal of the ultra-low level against the background of noise comparable with it. To allocate the output signal of the Hall sensor or thermal sensor in the background of noise, it is proposed to feed it with harmonic current with the further allocation of the information signal using a in-phase detector with a narrowband low-pass filter.

PAPR reduction in all-optical OFDM based on time interleaving odd and even subcarriers
摘要: In this paper, a new all-optical approach for reducing peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in all-optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (AO-OFDM) system based on time interleaving odd and even subcarriers (TIOES) is proposed and analytically modeled. In this approach, all subcarriers are initially modulated with higher modulation format such as m-array quadrature amplitude modulation (mQAM) and encoded by return-to-zero (RZ) coder. Then, odd and even subcarriers are temporally interleaved. An analytical model for estimating the impact of the interleaved time on PAPR reduction and induced nonlinear phase noise (NPN) is developed. The effect of reducing PAPR on performance of AO-OFDM system is also numerically investigated using VPItransmissionMaker? commercial software. This system utilizes an optical coupler-based inverse fast Fourier transform/fast Fourier transform. The results reveal that minimum PAPR is occurred when interleaved time between odd and even subcarriers equal to half symbol duration where the PAPR has been reduced by 3 dB. In addition, by employing proposed technique, the signal to noise ratio (SNR) is improved by about 2.5 dB at transmission distance of 800 km as compared with 4QAM AO-OFDM without PAPR technique.

low-coherent optical diffraction tomography by angle-scanning illumination
摘要: Temporally low-coherent optical diffraction tomography (ODT) is proposed and demonstrated based on angle-scanning Mach–Zehnder interferometry. Using a digital micromirror device based on diffractive tilting, the full-field interference of incoherent light is successfully maintained during every angle scanning sequences. Further, current ODT reconstruction principles for temporally incoherent illuminations are thoroughly reviewed and developed. Several limitations of incoherent illumination are also discussed, such as the nondispersive assumption, optical sectioning capacity, and illumination angle limitation. Using the proposed setup and reconstruction algorithms, low-coherent ODT imaging of plastic microspheres, human red blood cells, and rat pheochromocytoma cells is experimentally demonstrated.

Local spatial correlation-based stripe non-uniformity correction algorithm for single infrared images
摘要: Stripe non-uniformity typically exists in infrared images and affects the visual effect; thus, eliminating stripe non-uniformity is essential to improve image quality. In this paper, a correction model with higher accuracy is developed. Unlike some other stripe non-uniformity correction methods using the same gain coefficient and offset parameters for the pixels of each column, different deviations of the correction parameters in the same column resulted by unsatisfactory preliminary non-uniformity correction are considered and are thought to be small and still relevant in space. The proposed method calculates the correction parameters for each pixel respectively based on the intrinsic spatial correlation between adjacent pixels in a column. What is more, an edge detection method is included. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm effectively eliminates stripe noise of images of different scenes and it also works well in terms of preserving details. Furthermore, the algorithm exhibits high real-time performance.
