Temperature sensitive properties of Eu2+/Eu3+ dual-emitting LaAlO3 phosphors
摘要: In this study, Eu2+/Eu3+ coexisting perovskite LaAlO3 phosphors were synthesized by a traditional high-temperature solid-phase reaction method and investigated via X-ray diffraction data, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and temperature-dependent photoluminescence spectra. The Eu2+/Eu3+ coexisting LaAlO3 phosphors exhibit excellent optical temperature sensing characteristics and are potential inorganic materials for temperature detection. The measured maximal absolute temperature sensitivity reaches 0.014 K-1, and the corresponding largest relative temperature sensitivity is 1.193% K-1, which are superior to most of previous reports of that. Meanwhile, the monitored signal peaks are well separated, providing a good signal discriminability. The energy level crossover relaxation of Eu2+ and Struck-Fonger crossover process involving O2–-Eu3+ charge transfer band were used to explain the different temperature-dependent responses of Eu2+ and Eu3+. This work may give new ideas for the future research of optical thermometric materials with high sensitivity and high discriminability.

Investigation of Electrical Characteristics on LaAlO <sub/>3</sub> /ZrO <sub/>2</sub> /IGZO TFTs with Microwave Annealing
摘要: Conventional thin film transistor suffered from high threshold voltage, poor subthreshold swing, and high operation voltage. These shortcomings make the traditional thin film transistor does not meet the needs with the high-performance, high-resolution, low temperature and energy conservation nowadays. Due to the good selectivity of energy transformation and rapid heating rate, microwave annealing is promising to replace conventional furnace annealing and applied in the investigation. LaAlO3/ZrO2 is employed as gate electrode and gate dielectric layer for a-IGZO TFTs, under the premise that performance of a-IGZO TFTs without decreasing. With adjusting the power/time of microwave annealing, the effect on electrical characteristics of a-IGZO TFTs is investigated.

Highly conductive two-dimensional electron gas at the interface of Al2O3/SrTiO3
摘要: We create a two-dimensional electron gas at the Al2O3/SrTiO3/LaAlO3 heterostructures using pulsed laser deposition, which exhibits a decreasing sheet resistance with increasing growth temperatures of Al2O3 films. Structural characterizations of films are confirmed by cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy. Compared with these heterostructures with Al2O3 films deposited on pristine SrTiO3 and TiO2-terminated SrTiO3 substrates, the Al2O3/SrTiO3/LaAlO3 heterostructures are more conductive. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicates the formation of oxygen vacancies at the SrTiO3 side of the interface, which results from the redox reactions by reducing SrTiO3 films. Furthermore, the existence of oxygen vacancies on the SrTiO3 side is verified by a blue-light emission.

A New Ag/AgBr/LaAlO3 Plasmonic Composite: Synthesis, Characterization, and Visible-Light Driven Photocatalytic Activity
摘要: In recent years, fabricating the visible-light induced photocatalysts based on the concept of plasmonic photocatalysis provides an efficient way to reduce environmental pollution. Accordingly, the present investigation has been carried out to develop such materials based on lanthanum aluminate (LaAlO3; LAO) and Ag/AgBr. The Ag/AgBr/LAO composite is prepared by deposition of metallic Ag nanoparticles onto the pre-prepared AgBr/LAO heterostructure by visible-light photo-reduction. The characteristic properties of synthesized catalysts were investigated by using a variety of techniques such as XRD, N2 adsorption–desorption, FESEM/EDX/EDS mapping, TEM-HRTEM, UV–Vis DRS, FT-IR, XPS, and PL measurements. The photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) was used as a probe reaction to evaluate their photocatalytic activity under visible-light irradiation. Because of the higher surface area with vast mesoporous nature, enhanced visible light absorption, and more efficient charge separation after the deposition of Ag/AgBr, the composite Ag/AgBr/LAO showed enhanced photocatalytic activity compared with pristine LAO. The recycling experiment revealed excellent stability (up to five successive cycles) of Ag/AgBr/LAO composite. Furthermore, a photocatalytic mechanism is proposed for the degradation of MB over Ag/AgBr/LAO composite. The composite Ag/AgBr/LAO can be used as a promising catalyst for environmental remediation.

Effects of end-on oriented polymer chains at the donor/acceptor interface in organic solar cells
摘要: The transport and magnetic properties of LaAlO3/SrTiO3 (LAO/STO) heterostructure have been studied during cooling and warming. The strain gradient perpendicular to the surface of the heterostructure increases with the thickness of LAO film. The conductivity accelerated recoveries (CAR) are found at 80 K and 176 K in the interface of LAO/STO sample with millimeter scale, and are more obvious for thicker LAO layers during warming. These two recovering temperatures correspond to the migrating energies of oxygen single vacancy and divacancy trapped by polarized domain walls, separately. This indicated that domain walls diffuse along the longitudinal direction and expand to larger area due the strain gradient perpendicular to the interface. The stable and precise accelerating recovering temperatures make the sample at a larger scale a potential widely applied temperature standard reference. The magnetization measurements reveal the coexistence of paramagnetic and diamagnetic in the LAO/STO samples at whole temperature from 2 K to 300 K. The abnormal electric resistance rise is observed with the decreasing temperature below 25 K for the samples of 7 and 15 LAO layers. This anomaly is attributed to the Kondo effect below 25 K and weak anti-localization below 5 K due to the weightier paramagnetic content. The larger diamagnetic content suppresses these contributions in 25 LAO layers sample. This work provided an insightful view that the strain modified structure domain leads to the enhancement of CAR effect, which helps to achieve a better understanding of domain related physics in the LAO/STO system.

Review of photoresponsive properties at SrTiO <sub/>3</sub> -based heterointerfaces
摘要: The two-dimensional electron gas at SrTiO3-based heterointerfaces has received a great deal of attention in recent years owing to their potential for the exploration of emergent physics and the next generation of electronics. One of the most fascinating aspects in this system is that the light, as a powerful external perturbation, can modify its transport properties. Recent studies have reported that SrTiO3-based heterointerfaces exhibit the persistent photoconductivity and can be tuned by the surface and interface engineering. These researches not only reveal the intrinsic physical mechanisms in the photoresponsive process, but also highlight the ability to be used as a tool for novel all-oxide optical devices. This review mainly contraposes the studies of photoresponse at SrTiO3-based heterointerfaces.

Luminescence and scintillation properties of rare-earth-doped LaAlO3 single crystals
摘要: LaAlO3 perovskite single crystals doped with Ce, Eu or Tb have been grown by micro-pulling-down method. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed low-temperature rhombohedric phase. Energy-dispersive Laue mapping revealed sub-grains in the grown crystals. For the Ce-doped crystals, very low radioluminescence efficiency was found and the observed emission was ascribed to defects. Photoluminescence spectra were significantly different from the radioluminescence ones. They were significantly quenched at room temperature and the related luminescence showed also unusually high Stokes shift. High radioluminescence efficiency was found for the Tb-doped samples and especially for the Eu-doped ones, which would point to the fact that in LaAlO3 the scintillation process is more favorable for the luminescence ions which tend to capture an electron first.

Structural and luminescence properties of Eu3+ doped LaAlO3 nanophosphors by hydrothermal method
摘要: A series of La1?xAlO3: xEu3+ (x = 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 mol%) nanophosphors have been synthesized by a hydrothermal technique and were investigated by an X-ray powder diffractometer, field emission scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Further, photoluminescent studies have also been orderly explored under the near-ultraviolet light excitation. When excited with 395 nm, the Eu3+: LaAlO3 nanophosphors emission peaks observed at 579, 591, 620, 649 and 700 nm due to the 5D0→7Fj (J = 0–4) transitions of Eu3+ ions. The prominent emission peak was perceived at 620 nm, which associated to the 5D0→7F2 hypersensitive transition of Eu3+ ion. The optimum doping concentration of Eu3+ in LaAlO3 host is around 6 mol% and the concentration quenching effect is through the dipole–dipole interaction. The Commission International de I’Eclairage (CIE) color co-ordinates were determined from emission spectra and the values (x, y) were closer to National Television Standard Committee typical value of red emission. As an outcome, the prepared nanophosphors are highly suitable for red component of white light emitting devices.
