研究目的
To study the luminescence and scintillation properties of rare-earth-doped LaAlO3 single crystals, focusing on the effects of doping with Ce, Eu, or Tb and the influence of growth atmosphere on these properties.
研究成果
The study successfully grew Ce-, Eu-, and Tb-doped LaAlO3 single crystals and characterized their luminescence and scintillation properties. It found that luminescence centers acting as electron acceptors are more efficient in this material, which could explain the low efficiency of Ce-doped samples. The photoluminescence emission spectra showed an unusually high Stokes shift, complicating the understanding of the luminescence mechanism.
研究不足
The study acknowledges the difficulty in crystal growth and the presence of sub-grains and some polycrystallinity in the samples. The understanding of the luminescence mechanism in rare-earth-doped LaAlO3 is still incomplete, indicating a need for further research.
