Quantum encryption and generalized Shannon impossibility
摘要: The famous Shannon impossibility result says that any encryption scheme with perfect secrecy requires a secret key at least as long as the message. In this paper we provide its quantum analogue with imperfect secrecy and imperfect correctness. We also give a systematic study of information-theoretically secure quantum encryption with two secrecy definitions. We show that the weaker one implies the stronger but with a security loss in d, where d is the dimension of the encrypted quantum system. This is good enough if the target secrecy error is of o(d?1).

摘要: In this paper, a low-cost vision-based autonomous landing architecture for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on a moving platform is presented. First, a novel landing pad was designed for a monocular camera to robustly detect the pad in both high and low altitudes. In order to solve mirror effect and occasional misidentification, a 3D points cluster algorithm for relative position estimation is presented. Second, the dynamics of the quadrotor is simplified for this landing task and a PD controller is designed based on the estimated relative position. Finally, the low-cost system architecture of the quadrotor and the experiment results are both presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

摘要: CaCO3 is an inorganic substance with low toxicity. Electrical properties of CaCO3 is rarely reported although it has promising potential as biosensor. Therefore it is our aim to provide information on CaCO3 electrical properties. This work described the effect of different distance of metal contact pad and also the effect of light to the electrical conductivity of CaCO3. CaCO3 thin film was prepared at 1.0M by gas diffusion method. From the results, the value of current is not affected by different distance of metal contact pad. Results showed conductivity of CaCO3 thin films were not affected by the presence of light. Therefore CaCO3 thin film conductivity is stable and suitable for wide application and further study such as for biosensor.

Testbeam and laboratory characterization of CMS 3D pixel sensors
摘要: The pixel detector is the innermost tracking device in CMS, reconstructing interaction vertices and charged particle trajectories. The sensors located in the innermost layers of the pixel detector must be upgraded for the ten-fold increase in luminosity expected at the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). As a possible replacement for planar sensors, 3D silicon technology is under consideration due to its good performance after high radiation fluence. In this paper, we report on pre- and post- irradiation measurements of CMS 3D pixel sensors with different electrode configurations from different vendors. The effects of irradiation on electrical properties, charge collection efficiency, and position resolution are discussed. Measurements of various test structures for monitoring the fabrication process and studying the bulk and surface properties of silicon sensors, such as MOS capacitors, planar and gate-controlled diodes are also presented.

Semi-Quantum Dialogue with Bell Entangled States
摘要: In this paper, we construct a semi-quantum dialogue (SQD) protocol by using Bell entangled states as the initial quantum resource. The information leakage problem is prevented by utilizing the entanglement correlation of two particles from one Bell entangled state. The security towards active attacks from an outside Eve is guaranteed by twice security checks and one classical one-time pad encryption process. The proposed SQD protocol can be realized in experiment with present quantum technologies. Compared with the traditional quantum dialogue (QD) protocols without information leakage, the advantage of the proposed SQD protocol lies in that it doesn’t require both communicants to possess quantum capabilities.

Simple geometrical modifications for substantial color intensity and detection limit enhancements in lateral-flow immunochromatographic assays
摘要: One of the ongoing challenges in lateral flow Immunochromatographic assays (LFIA), is lowering the limit of detection and enhancing their signal quality, i.e. the color intensity. There are a number of rather costly and complicated processes for this aim, such as the use of functionalized materials/membranes and additional spectroscopic readout units. Nonetheless, there are simple and easy to practice alternatives, to be uncovered by analyzing the essential parameters of immunological reactions. The color intensity of the test line is a function of analytes flow velocity and their reaction rate. Detection pad width and test line position impact the flow velocity and reaction rate kinetics, examined in this paper for the limit of detection (LOD) and test-line color intensity. Firstly, the impact of width on the LOD was examined for human chorionic gonadotropin (pregnancy biomarker). Test line color intensity was measured using five different widths of the detection pad (trapezoidal) and four different test line positions, and the trends observed were explained according to the measured evolution of the velocity along the chromatography paper. With a constant width absorbent pad, LOD was cut by half to 5 mIU/ml by using a narrowing width detection pad, which keeps the wicking velocity higher than normal strips, and compared to them, color intensity increase between 55-150%, depending on the concentration. Nevertheless, a widening detection pad might cut the color intensity up to 150%, compared to normal strips, due to a profound decline of the analyte to ligand ratio at the test line. In addition, adequately sending the test line away from the conjugate pad yields the highest possible color intensity, for up to 400% of increase, in lower concentrations and narrowing test pads. However, further distancing the test line downfalls the color intensity.

Effect of pad wear on tool influence function in robotic polishing of large optics
摘要: Robotic polishing can greatly improve the manufacturing efficiency of precision optics, and its tool influence function (TIF) needs to be modeled precisely for deterministic fabrication. When polishing large optics, the TIFs are significantly affected by the wear of the polishing pad, which in turn will change the material removal rate. In this paper, the generating mechanism of the pad wear is analyzed, so as to quantitatively predict the wear amount of the polishing pad under different processing parameters; consequently, the TIF error caused by pad wear can be compensated. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model can reliably predict the polishing pad shape and the corresponding TIF after different wearing time; henceforth, the resulting form quality and convergence rate of robotic polishing can be significantly improved.

SEM analysis of grid elements in mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline based solar cell
摘要: A Photovoltaic cell is an electrical gadget that changes over light legitimately into power by photovoltaic impact. Semiconductor materials are the fundamental materials they are made of. Cells are intended to deal with daylight and are made of single intersection or multijunction for different retention and charge partition instrument. Sun based cell con?guration includes determining the parameters of a solar cell structure to expand pro?ciency. Effectiveness of a sun-oriented cell basically relies upon Grid compo- nents (Ribbon, Busbar, Pad and Finger), Textures, materials and formats. Ray Tracing and Surface Morphology with different periodicity also in?uences the ef?ciency of Solar Cell due to change in Photo Current Densities. In this paper, SEM investigation and surface morphology are performed on lat- tice components of both mono and poly crystalline sunlight-based cells which legitimately impacts cell effectiveness.

Antimicrobial Efficacy of Photodynamic Therapy, Diode Laser, and Sodium Hypochlorite and Their Combinations on Endodontic Pathogens
摘要: Background: Sterilization of the root canal system is of prime importance for a successful root canal therapy. Lasers and photodynamic therapy (PDT) have become the latest choice to eradicate microorganisms in the root canal. Objective(s): To evaluate and compare the antimicrobial activity of diode laser, photodynamic therapy, and sodium hypochlorite along with their combinations on endodontic pathogens: Enterococcus faecalis and Streptococcus mutans. Methods: A total of 120 uniradicular teeth were stored in 5.2% NaOCl solution to remove organic residues and the crowns were sectioned at the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) to obtain root canal length of 15 mm. Canals were shaped using step-back technique up to #40 K-file and were autoclaved. The selected teeth (specimen) were randomly divided into two equal groups with sixty root canals inoculated with E. faecalis (Group E) and remaining sixty teeth with S. mutans (Group S). Further, the groups were subdivided according to the disinfection technique used. Ten teeth from each subgroup were disinfected with a diode laser, photo activated disinfection (PAD), sodium hypochlorite, a combination of sodium hypochlorite and diode laser, a combination of sodium hypochlorite and PAD respectively. Ten teeth in each group served as control without any disinfection. The treated specimens were transferred to test tubes containing 5ml sterile Luria Bertani broth, incubated and the bacterial count, optical density in each root specimen was calculated and compared. The pairwise comparison of colonies across the subgroups was done by the Kruskal-Wallis test and within the subgroups was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U test. The statistical implication was tested at 5% and the study was performed using SPSS 18.0 ver. (SPSS Inc.). Results: A significant reduction (98%) in the E. faecalis count was observed when the NaOCl was used in combination with the diode laser or PAD. PAD along with 3% NaOCl presents the advantage of utilizing a lower wavelength laser beam. Hence, PAD in combination with NaOCl can be an alternative and better option for root canal disinfection for both the endodontic pathogens, E. faecalis and S. mutans.

摘要: In this paper the influence of the use of thermal pads on electric, optical and thermal parameters of LEDs is considered. For a selected type of power LED operating with a thermal pad and without it, such parameters as: thermal resistance, optical efficiency, power of emitted radiation are measured for selected values of diode forward current. The results of measurements obtained for both manners of diode assembly are compared. Some characteristics illustrating electric, thermal and optical properties of these diodes are shown and discussed. It is proved that the use of a thermal pad makes it possible to achieve better values of operating parameters of the considered power LEDs and lower values of the device internal temperature, which guarantees longer life time of the considered devices.
