  • Characterization of a novel silicon-containing hybrid polymer by thermal curing, pyrolysis behavior, and fluorescence analysis

    摘要: A novel linear silicon-containing hybrid polymer with C C and Si H linkages, diphenyl-dihydroethynyl-silane (DPHES), had been conveniently synthesized and well characterized. The thermal curing, crosslinked structure and pyrolysis behavior were studied by DSC, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and Pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS). The results suggest the crosslinked structures consist mainly of phenyl and aromatic fused rings, which are formed through cyclotrimerization, addition reaction, and hydrosilylation reaction. The thermal properties indicate that the crosslinked DPHES exhibits excellent thermal stability with the temperature at 5% weight loss are higher than 572 and 509 (cid:1)C under nitrogen and air atmosphere, respectively. The ?uorescence emission spectra show DPHES and its crosslinked product also have moderate ?uorescence properties, emitting purple light, and visible blue light, respectively, which further veri?ed the structure of DPHES. These results suggest that DPHES has the potential to be used as light-emitting materials with excellent thermal properties.

  • Systematic Comparison of Thermal Annealing and Laser Treatment of TiO2 Thin Films Prepared by Sol-Gel Processing

    摘要: Thin films with titania composition were prepared on glass substrates by dip-coating from coating solutions based on soluble precursor powders. The as-dried deposits were thermally annealed in a furnace and irradiated by a CO2 laser, respectively. Oven temperature can systematically be correlated to laser power density in terms of film thickness and refractive index. Results indicate that the formation of anatase and rutile critically depends on the different treatment conditions. Some specific microstructural features that originate from the laser irradiation are highlighted.

  • Functional Silica and Carbon Nanocomposites Based on Polybenzoxazines

    摘要: The preparation of organic/inorganic hybrid materials comprising a polybenzoxazine (PBZ) matrix incorporating silicon-based species (e.g., polydimethylsiloxane [PDMS], layered silicates [clays], and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes [POSS]) and carbon-based materials (e.g., carbon black, carbon fibers, carbon nanotubes, and graphene) has received much attention in recent years because these composites display low water absorption, low surface free energy, low dielectric constants, flame-retardancy, and excellent thermal and mechanical properties. This short review article describes the chemical and physical approaches that are used to prepare PBZs incorporating silica and carbon nanocomposites. In addition, recent reports of their physical properties are discussed, covering their dielectric constants and dynamic mechanical, thermal, electrical, and surface properties.
