研究目的
To synthesize PEGylated graphene quantum dots (GQDs-PEG) and evaluate their application in cell imaging due to their unique optical properties, high quantum yield, and good biocompatibility.
研究成果
GQDs-PEG were successfully synthesized and showed excellent physiological stability and biocompatibility, making them suitable for biomedical imaging. They exhibited no obvious toxicity to cells and could effectively enter cells with high fluorescence recognition, indicating their potential as biological imaging agents.
研究不足
The quantum yield of GQDs-PEG is relatively low (3.7%), which may limit their brightness in imaging applications. The study focuses on in vitro cell imaging, and further in vivo studies are needed to assess the full potential of GQDs-PEG for biomedical imaging.

Hydrothermal method was used to synthesize GQDs-PEG with PEG as a surface passivation agent.
