研究目的
To evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of hyperopic laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) using the AMARIS? 750S excimer laser.
研究成果
LASIK is safe and effective in the treatment of hyperopia in the short term. However, long term regression is a challenging issue in eyes with high degree of hyperopia.
研究不足
The study could be better to compare results with a hyperopic group treated with femtosecond laser-assisted LASIK. Additionally, the retrospective nature of the study is another limitation.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Retrospective review of medical records of patients who underwent LASIK for hyperopia using the AMARIS? 750S excimer laser. Patients were divided into three groups based on preoperative spherical equivalent (SE) refraction.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
One hundred eleven eyes of 62 patients who met inclusion criteria were reviewed.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
AMARIS? 750S excimer laser, Carriazo-Pendular microkeratome, Sirius? corneal topography.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
LASIK procedures were performed following the same surgical protocol. Preoperative manifest refraction values were set into the device. Emmetropia was targeted.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Statistical analysis was performed with IBM SPSS Statistics 20 Windows. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, repeated-measures ANOVA test, and One-Way ANOVA test were used.
