研究目的
To design and investigate a single layer perovskite solar cell (PSC) without using charge transport layers (CTLs) such as electron and hole transport layers, utilizing the electric field across the perovskite layer to navigate the electron and hole towards opposite electrodes without the need of transport layers.
研究成果
The numerical simulation demonstrates that a CTL-free PSC using metal work function shifted contacts can achieve efficient carrier collection and power conversion efficiency. Optimized parameters include a higher metal work function difference between electrodes, higher front electrode transparency, and a thick perovskite layer with low defect density. The design offers a pathway to next-generation interface defect and hysteresis-free PSCs.
研究不足
The study is based on numerical simulation, which may not fully capture all real-world physical phenomena. The practical realization of metal work function shifted contacts and the fabrication of defect-free perovskite layers remain challenging.
