研究目的
Investigating the post-processing microstructure and property of titanium components fabricated with Selective Laser Melting (SLM), focusing on fatigue life and fatigue crack growth in different orientations and the effects of hot isostatic pressing (HIP).
研究成果
The study concluded that SLM-fabricated Ti-6Al-4V exhibits higher tensile strength but variable fatigue life, influenced by microstructure and porosity. HIP treatment improves fatigue life by reducing porosity. The fatigue crack growth rate is slower in specimens oriented parallel to the build direction. Further research is needed to optimize SLM parameters and post-processing treatments for high-integrity applications.
研究不足
The study acknowledges the variability in fatigue life due to porosity and the need for further research on the effects of post-processing treatments. The influence of surface roughness and residual stresses on fatigue performance was not fully explored.
