研究目的
Investigating the synthesis and characterization of a new double chromophoric sulfonium salt photoinitiator (ITXPhenS) and its ability to form charge transfer complexes (CTC) with N, N-dimethyl aniline (DMA) for initiating free radical and cationic polymerization reactions under visible and natural sunlight.
研究成果
The study successfully synthesized and characterized a new sulfonium salt photoinitiator (ITXPhenS) that forms CTCs with DMA, extending its absorption to the visible range. The CTCs demonstrated excellent photoinitiation capabilities for both free radical and cationic polymerizations under visible and natural sunlight. The mechanism involves the generation of radical and ionic species through the cleavage of ITXPhenS within the CTC, followed by electron transfer reactions.
研究不足
The study is limited to the specific sulfonium salt (ITXPhenS) and its CTC with DMA. The applicability of the findings to other systems or under different conditions is not explored.
