Mn doped ZnO nano photocatalyst showed very good catalytic activity in the visible-light induced degradation of DB 71 dye, with optimal conditions at pH 6.86, 3 g L-1 of MnDZ catalyst, and 10 ppm of DB 71 dye. The catalyst exhibited pseudo-first-order kinetics and excellent reusability.

The study is limited to the degradation of Direct Blue 71 dye under visible light irradiation using Mn doped ZnO nano photocatalyst. The efficiency may vary with different pollutants or under different light conditions.

Mn doped ZnO nano photocatalyst was prepared via co-precipitation method and characterized by XRD, FT-IR, UV–Vis-DRS, FE-SEM, and TEM.

4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The photocatalytic activities were tested under visible light irradiation using a Heber visible annular type photo reactor model HVAR with a Tungsten (500w) lamp.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The kinetics of photo degradation was analyzed using pseudo-first-order kinetics.
