研究目的
To synthesize anatase phase TiO2 nanoparticles by precipitation method using TiCl4 as a precursor in a new reaction medium containing water and glycerol, and to examine the effects of water/glycerol ratio and calcination temperature on morphology, particle size, crystalline phase formation, and band gap energy.
研究成果
TiO2 nanoparticles of anatase phase were successfully synthesized using a new reaction media (water/glycerol). The inclusion of glycerol promotes the formation of smaller particles and lowers the band gap. This method is simple, cost-effective, and can be carried out at ambient conditions, making it suitable for industrial scale production.
研究不足
The study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of TiO2 nanoparticles using a specific solvent system (water and glycerol) and does not extensively explore the photocatalytic applications or compare with other synthesis methods in detail.
