A novel transformation doping method was developed to dope Mn2+ into CsPbCl3 and CsPbBr3 perovskite NCs at room temperature. The method provides a new possibility in the development of new doping strategies for perovskite NCs.

The stability of the product is not as good as that obtained by hot-injection method. The mechanism of using MnBr2 instead of MnCl2 to obtain Mn2+-doped CsPbBr3 NCs needs further study.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
A room-temperature transformation doping method was developed for the synthesis of Mn2+-doped CsPbCl3 and CsPb(Br/Cl)3 nanocrystals. The method involves the transformation of Cs4PbX6 phase to CsPbX3 phase driven by MnCl2 precursor.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Cs4PbX6 NCs were synthesized as previously described. MnCl2 precursor was prepared by dissolving MnCl2 in DMF with OLAM and acetic acid.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Chemicals used include PbBr2, PbCl2, Cs2CO3, ODE, HEX, OA, OLAM, DMF, acetic acid, MnCl2, and toluene. Equipment includes TEM, HRTEM, XRD, UV-vis-NIR spectrophotometer, and FLS920 spectrometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Mn precursor was injected into Cs4PbX6 NCs solutions at room temperature. The transformation was monitored by XRD and TEM. The product was purified by centrifugation.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
XRD patterns, TEM images, absorption spectra, PL spectra, and PL lifetime were analyzed to confirm the transformation and doping.
