研究目的
Investigating the feasibility of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy for the quality evaluation of the main bioactive compounds, ginsenosides, in Panax ginseng.
研究成果
NIR reflectance spectroscopy can be used for the accurate prediction of ginsenoside content in Panax ginseng, meeting the criteria for screening in breeding programs. The method allows for qualitative and quantitative analysis of ginsenosides with sufficient accuracy.
研究不足
The study focused on Panax ginseng samples from specific cultivated areas (Japan, China, and Korea). The applicability of NIR spectroscopy for ginsenoside prediction in other types of ginseng or from other regions was not explored.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy was used for the quality evaluation of ginsenosides in Panax ginseng. PLS regression models were constructed for analysis.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
A total of 60 Panax ginseng samples from Japan, China, and South Korea were collected, including white ginsengs, red ginsengs, and bleached ginsengs.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
NIR spectra were collected using a Matrix-F (Bruker Optics, Ettlingen, Germany) equipped with fibre-coupled non-contact diffuse reflection. HPLC system comprised a PU-2080 Plus pump, UV-2075 Plus UV-detector and 807-IT integrator (all Jasco Inc., Easton, MD, USA).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Diffuse reflectance NIR spectra of air-dry samples were collected. HPLC was used to determine the ginsenoside content in the ginseng samples.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
PLS regression analysis was used to estimate ginsenoside contents from NIR spectra. OPUS Quant 2 software was used for data pre-processing and for the calibration and validation of the PLS regression models.
