The determination of the focus of the lens antenna according to theoretical calculations differs from that obtained by simulation in the biconvex antenna due to the application of ray optics in theoretical models versus full wave analysis in simulations. The simulations demonstrate the importance of having electromagnetic simulation tools with full-wave methods for more accurate determination of the focal distance, particularly for applications in microwaves.
