研究目的
To investigate the potential of improving anthocyanin synthesis, in terms of fruit colouration, the major incentive for a consumer, by using reflective ground cover Lumilys? under a crystalline hailnet.
研究成果
The reflective ground cover Lumilys? significantly improved light reflection and fruit colouration, especially on the shaded side of the fruit and in the lower inner part of the canopy. The visualization of light penetration using colour codes provided a clear understanding of how reflective mulch influences light distribution within the tree canopy.
研究不足
The study was conducted under specific climatic conditions at 50°N, and the results may vary under different environmental conditions. The reflective mulch's effectiveness may also depend on the type of hailnet and the apple cultivar.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study compared the effects of reflective ground cover Lumilys? on fruit colouration and light penetration in an apple orchard under a hailnet. Light measurements were taken at various positions within the canopy.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Attached fruit from different positions within the canopy were selected, and light intensity was measured as PAR at different heights and distances from the tree trunk.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Reflective ground cover Lumilys? type WH 100 (polypropylene, 100 g/m2; 2.6 m wide; Beaulieu Technical Textiles, Waregem, Belgium), EGM-5 Portable CO2 Gas Analyzer with a TRP-3 (CS 1) from PP Systems, USA, i1PRO (X-rite, USA) for colour measurement.
4:6 m wide; Beaulieu Technical Textiles, Waregem, Belgium), EGM-5 Portable CO2 Gas Analyzer with a TRP-3 (CS 1) from PP Systems, USA, i1PRO (X-rite, USA) for colour measurement.
Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
4. Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow: The reflective ground cover was spread between apple rows seven weeks prior to harvest. Light intensity was measured every hour from 8 am to 6 pm on overcast and sunny days. Fruit colour was measured on four sides of selected apples.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Data were analyzed using IBM? SPSS? Statistics (Version 24, IBM, USA) with the Shapiro-Wilks test for normal distribution and the Kruskal Wallis test with Dunn-Bonferroni-Tests as a pairwise comparison.
