  • Au@Cu Nanoarrays with Uniform Long-Range Ordered Structure: Synthesis and SERS Applications

    摘要: The nanostructures with uniform long-range ordered structure are of crucial importance for performance standardization of high-quality surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra. In this paper, we described the fabrication and SERS properties of Au decorated Cu (Au@Cu) nanoarrays. The Cu nanoarrays with uniform long-range ordered structure were first synthesized by in-situ electrochemistry assembly on insulated substrate. The Cu nanoarrays can reach a size of centimeters with strictly periodic nano-microstructure, which is beneficial for the production and performance standardization of SERS substrates. Then Au nanoparticals were decorated on the Cu nanoarrays by galvanic reaction without any capping agent. The obtained Au@Cu nanoarrays exhibit excellent SERS activity for 4-Mercaptopyridine, and the sensitivity limit is as low as 10?8 M. Therefore, this facile route provides a useful platform for the fabrication of SERS substrates based on nano ordered arrays.

  • Growth and Self-Assembly of Silicon–Silicon Carbide Nanoparticles into Hybrid Worm-Like Nanostructures at the Silicon Wafer Surface

    摘要: This work describes the growth of silicon–silicon carbide nanoparticles (Si–SiC) and their self-assembly into worm-like 1D hybrid nanostructures at the interface of graphene oxide/silicon wafer (GO/Si) under Ar atmosphere at 1000 °C. Depending on GO film thickness, spread silicon nanoparticles apparently develop on GO layers, or GO-embedded Si–SiC nanoparticles self-assembled into some-micrometers-long worm-like nanowires. It was found that the nanoarrays show that carbon–silicon-based nanowires (CSNW) are standing on the Si wafer. It was assumed that Si nanoparticles originated from melted Si at the Si wafer surface and GO-induced nucleation. Additionally, a mechanism for the formation of CSNW is proposed.

  • A Simple Colorimetric and Fluorescent Sensor to Detect Organophosphate Pesticides Based on Adenosine Triphosphate-Modified Gold Nanoparticles

    摘要: A simple and dual modal (colorimetric and fluorescent) sensor for organophosphate pesticides with high sensitivity and selectivity using adenosine triphosphate (ATP)- and rhodamine B-modified gold nanoparticles (RB-AuNPs), was successfully fabricated. This detection for ethoprophos afforded colorimetric and fluorescence imaging changes visualization. The quantitative determination was linearly proportional to the amounts of ethoprophos in the range of a micromolar scale (4.0–15.0 μM). The limit of detection for ethoprophos was as low as 37.0 nM at 3σ/k. Moreover, the extent application of this simple assay was successfully demonstrated in tap water samples with high reliability and applicability, indicating remarkable application in real samples.

  • Gold Nanoparticles-embedded MAPbI3 Perovskite Thin Films

    摘要: We synthesized the gold nanoparticles (Au NPs)-embedded methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) film for the first time. The effects of metal nanoparticles on MAPbI3 perovskite were systematically studied using UV-Vis absorption and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. As a result, the 20-nm-sized Au NPs-embedded MAPbI3 film exhibited a 4.15% higher absorbance than the bare MAPbI3 film. Moreover, the average PL intensity of the Au NPs-embedded MAPbI3 film increased by about 75.25% over the bare MAPbI3 film. Therefore, we have confirmed that addition of the Au NPs has a positive effect on the optical properties of MAPbI3, and we believe that this study will provide a basic insight into the metal nanoparticles-embedded perovskite thin films for the future optoelectronic applications.

  • Tailoring Shape and Crystallographic Phase of Copper Sulfide Nanostructures Using Novel Thiourea Complexes as Single Source Precursors

    摘要: Copper sulfide thin films and nanoparticles have been prepared via aerosol assisted chemical vapour deposition and solvothermal hot injection routes, respectively. Both routes employed heterocyclic amine based benzoylthioureato-copper(II) complexes as single source precursors. Copper sulfide thin films of diverse morphologies ranging from cubic to snowy or irregular crystallites depending on the deposition temperature were observed. Powder X-ray diffraction studies of the as deposited thin films have indicated the formation of hexagonal and cubic phases of copper sulfide. In the case of the nanoparticles, Roxbyite (Cu1.75S) phase was obtained in dodecanethiol at temperatures of 150, 190 and 230 °C. However, a preferred growth of nanoparticles was observed in the presence of oleylamine whereas the roxbyite phase was obtained at temperatures of 150, 200 and 250 °C. Also transmission electron microscopy showed the formation of close to spherical, hexagonal nano-disk and rod shaped nanoparticles.

  • Structural, Optical, and Dielectric Studies on Sr-Doped Biferroic YCrO3

    摘要: In this work, the solid-state synthesis of Y1-xSrxCrO3 (x = 0.0, 0.1) samples has been reported. The X-ray diffraction data analysis confirmed that the synthesized samples have crystallized into the orthorhombic phase with the assigned space group Pbnm. The Rietveld refinement of the XRD data confirmed the structure and other related parameters. The slight variation in the lattice parameters and negligible shift in the reflection peaks reveals the uniform dispersion of Sr at Y-site in the parent YCrO3 matrix. The dielectric characterization revealed the good dielectric nature of the prepared samples which decreases with Sr doping. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) revealed that an agglomeration type process has taken place in the sample preparation. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) characterization witnessed the formation of orthorhombic phase of the samples under study displaying sharp absorption bands corresponding to Cr–O stretching, Y/Sr–O stretching, and O–Cr–O deformation vibration, respectively. UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis revealed the dual direct allowed bandgap of the samples assigned to the Cr3+ ion transition in the ground level.

  • Manganese dioxide nanoparticles/activated carbon composite as efficient UV and visible-light photocatalyst

    摘要: Manganese dioxide nanoparticles/activated carbon (MnO2/AC) composites and manganese dioxide nanoparticles (MnO2 NPs) are prepared through chemical reduction method. Morphological study shows that MnO2 NPs had cylindrical and spherical shape. The morphological study also revealed that MnO2 NPs were well dispersed on AC while neat Mn NPs present both in dispersed and in agglomerated form. The FT-IR study confirms the synthesis of MnO2 NPs. Zetasizer study presented that the Mn NPs had uniform size and below 100 nm in size and had zeta potential of ? 20 mV, which represent its stability in the suspension form. The synthesized Mn/AC composite and Mn NPs were utilized as photocatalysts for the photodegradation of Congo red (CR) dye. The degradation study shows that MnO2/AC composite degraded CR dye more efficiently than MnO2 NPs under UV and normal light irradiation. The efficient degradation of dye by Mn/AC composite is due to the synergistic effect between dye adsorption on AC and rapid photodegradation by supported MnO2 NPs. The results revealed that Mn/AC composite degraded about 98.53% of CR dye within 5 min while MnO2 NPs degraded 66.57% of dye within the same irradiation time. The recycled catalyst also significantly degraded dye which verifies its sustainability. The effect of catalyst dosage and initial dye concentration was conducted. The degradation rate of dye was found drastically faster in tap water (in presence of catalyst), which might be due to the presence of various mineral ions in the tap water.

  • Preparation of Monodispersed Nanoparticles of Transparent Conductive Oxides

    摘要: Generally, indium-tin-oxides (ITO) thin film is prepared by the sputtering process with ITO target, but only 20 % of ITO yielded from the target is deposited on the substrate. Namely, about 80 % ITO is exhausted by the deposition elsewhere far from the substrate. The recycling process of indium is limited so that ca. 20 % ITO of the starting material is lost without any recovery. Even if the recycling of ITO has been carried out in this process, we should prepare ITO target of 5 times more than apparent use of ITO on film. If we change it to printing process from the sputtering, the reduction in ITO use is expected as ca. 50 %, considering the increase in film thickness by printing. Our target technology also includes ITO nanoink for the project. As a result, monodispersed ITO nanoparticles (NPs) with a cubic shape were fabricated by using quaternary ammonium hydroxide-assisted metal hydroxide organogels. These NPs have perfect uniformity in size with beautiful shape, and perfect single crystalline structure including Sn. As we were attempted to make thin film with ITO nanoink, it was successfully fabricated below 200 nm in thickness and the resistivity was drastically decreased below 1.0 × 10–3 Ω cm after heat treatments. GZO nanoink as substitute of ITO has also been developed.

  • Photocatalytic activity of biosynthesized CeO2 nano particles

    摘要: This paper focuses on a cost effective and environment friendly technique for green synthesis of cerium oxide (CeO2) nano particles from cerium (III) nitrate hexahydrate solution by co-precipitation method using the leaf extract of different species of Artemisia pallens which acts as reducing and capping agent. The prepared CeO2 nano particles were characterized by XRD, TEM, FTIR, UV–Vis spectroscopy. The Photocatalytic activity of the prepared ceria powders was determined by their ability to degrade Methylene blue solution under UV-light radiation. The photo degradation result observed with 10 mg/L ceria at pH = 11 for 180 min have highest output and pseudo 1st order rate constant was 0.983.

  • Gold nanoparticles of different shape for bicolor lateral flow test

    摘要: Spherical gold nanoparticles are the most commonly used marker in lateral flow assays. However, the widespread practice of using identical coloration for the test and control zones of test strips can lead to erroneous interpretations of the assay’s results. We propose an immunochromatographic test strip with lines of different colors. For this purpose, gold nanoparticles of different shapes were used, namely blue nanoflowers in the test zone and red gold nanospheres in the control zone. A detailed synthesis procedure for nanoparticles and their conjugates is considered and design parameters for optimal results are described. For the first time, nanoparticles of different shapes have been combined in the test strip with indirect labeling of specific antibodies (via their interaction with labeled secondary antibodies). Using the T-2 toxin (T2T) as an example, an instrumental detection limit of 30 pg/mL and a working range 0.06-0.9 ng/mL were achieved in an analysis of water-organic corn extracts.
