摘要: Micro-grid is one of the most effective ways to utilize renewable energy. It is of great significance to study how to realize the energy management of micro-grid and optimize the utilization of energy. Micro-grid is a system unit composed of distributed power generation, energy storage device, energy conversion device, load, control and protection device, etc. It is an autonomous system that can realize self-control, protection and management. Most of the power sources in the micro-grid are distributed power sources, such as wind turbine, photovoltaic power generation, micro gas turbine, fuel cell, super-capacitor, flywheel battery and other energy storage devices. Connecting them to the user end has the characteristics of low cost, low voltage and low pollution, and is the mainstream development direction of the current power system. This paper introduces the composition and control technology of micro-grid, as well as the energy management and simulation of optical storage micro-grid in island and grid-connected mode. In this paper, two modes of island and grid connection are simulated by Simulink. The results show that the optical storage micro-grid system with switching mechanism can effectively improve the utilization rate of photovoltaic power, realize the efficient integration and utilization of distributed power supply, and carry out load side operation management autonomously by switching switch.

摘要: Photovoltaic (PV) system becomes the best alternative energy to produce electricity that can replace fuel resource. Grid Connected Photovoltaic (GC-PV) system will supply the AC power generated to the utility grid then distributed to the consumer. Solar irradiance in Malaysia varies daily and throughout the year. The consequence of low irradiance level is the output of the PV array is low and thus the input of the inverter relatively becoming low. The inverter will exhibit large non-linearity when the inverter is operating at low power input during low level of solar irradiance and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) will increased. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques that are Continuous Pulse Width Modulation (CPWM) and Discontinuous PWM (DPWM) are implemented in the inverter control of the GC-PV system using MATLAB/Simulink environment to investigate the effect of switching frequency on THD at different level of solar irradiance. THD is limit within standard requirement by selecting appropriate value of switching frequency. Results shows that CPWM has better performance in THD and switching losses at selected switching frequency.

A New Transformer-less Five-level Grid-Tied Inverter for Photovoltaic Applications
摘要: A new fundamental structure of a single-phase transformer-less grid connected multilevel inverter based on a switched-capacitor structure is presented in this study. By employing the series-parallel switching conversion of the integrated switched-capacitor module in a packed unit, attractive features for the proposed inverter can be obtained such as high efficiency and boosting ability within a single stage operation. Also, using a common grounding technique provides an additional advantage of reducing the leakage current. Moreover, the presented structure generates a multilevel waveform at the output voltage terminals which reduces the harmonics in the system. A peak current controller is utilized for triggering the gate of the power switches and controlling both the active and reactive powers. This results in a tightly controlled current with an appropriate quality that can be injected to the grid using a single source resource. Operating procedures, design considerations, comparison studies and test results of a 620 W prototype are also presented to validate the accuracy and feasibility of the proposed multilevel inverter.

Performance evaluation of building-integrated photovoltaic systems for residential buildings in southern India
摘要: The integration of photovoltaic modules into the building structure is a challenging task with respect to power generation of PV module and the effect of incident solar radiation. The performance of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules varies depending upon the orientation and azimuth angle of the building. In this work, the year-round performance and economic feasibility analysis of grid-connected building-integrated photovoltaic (GBIPV) modules is reported for the hot and humid climatic regional condition at Kovilpatti (9°10'00"N, 77°52'00"E), Tamil Nadu, India. The appropriate mounting structures are provided, to experimentally simulate the performance of GBIPV modules at various orientations and inclination angles (0° to 90°). The result indicated that the optimum orientation for installation of BIPV modules in the fa?ade and walls is found to be east while that for a pitched roof south orientation is recommended. The overall average annual performance ratio, capacity utilisation factor, array capture loss and system losses are found to be 0.83, 23%, 0.07 (h/day), and 0.17 (h/day), respectively. In addition, the economic feasibility of grid connected PV system for residential buildings in Tamil Nadu, India is analysed using HOMER by incorporating both a net metering process and electricity tariff.

Performance evaluation and analysis of polycrystalline photovoltaic plant located in Northern Morocco
摘要: This paper analyzes and studies the performance of 2 kWp grid-connected photovoltaic system installed on the roof of Faculty of Science and Technology, Tangier, Morocco. The used data in this study was measured from January 2015 to December 2016, where the system supplied a total of 7.10 MWh to the local grid, distributed as follows; 3578.22 kWh in 2015 and 3521.77 kWh in 2016. The measured data were used to evaluate the performance parameters of the photovoltaic system, including final yield, performance ratio, capacity factor and system efficiency. During the year 2015, the final yield of the photovoltaic plant was 4.80 kWh/kWp.day, the annual performance ratio was 78.13%, the annual capacity factor was around 20.02%, and the system efficiency was 11.90%. For the year 2016, these parameters were 4.72 kWh/kWp.day, 77.24%, 19.71%, and 11.76% respectively. These performances are compared with data obtained in similar conditions.

摘要: When an unbalanced voltage drop occurs in the grid system, output power of distributed photovoltaic grid-connected system will generate second harmonics. In order to suppress the second harmonic, a new low voltage ride-through control strategy is proposed, which can adjust the harmonic suppression target according to the degree of voltage drop. This strategy can suppress the second harmonic of active power when the voltage drop is low, and suppress the second harmonic of reactive power when the voltage drop is large. The control strategy is simulated in MATLAB, and the results testified its effectiveness.

A New Approach to H-Infinity Control for Grid-Connected Inverters in Photovoltaic Generation Systems
摘要: The present study investigates the stability problem of the grid-connected inverters (GCIs) for possible variations in grid impedance. A new type of H1 control method is proposed for the current control loop of inverters, where the third weighting function is determined using the game theory. The proposed method is applied to the GCI in a photovoltaic system and its response to variations in grid impedance is investigated. Computer simulations conducted for comparison of H1 and PI controller indicate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. Simulation results also show that the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms the PI controller under the conditions of varying grid impedance.

摘要: Distributed generation based on photovoltaic systems is of interest for scientists and specialists, since it has an impact on power losses in distribution networks and voltage deviations at consumers, due to the change in power flows from busbars. The article analyzes the effect of connecting two photovoltaic systems to a power line with a distributed load in terms of power losses. As the objects of research, the systems of power supply to poultry farms were analyzed. Two methods have been proposed for determining the optimal power and places of connection of photovoltaic systems from the obtained analytical expressions for minimum electric power losses in a power line with distributed load, and based on the developed nomogram making it possible to determine approximately different sets of distances and powers of photovoltaic systems.

Direct grid-side current model predictive control for grid-connected inverter with LCL filter
摘要: On control of the grid-connected inverter (GCI) with LCL filter, the inverter-side current model predictive control is adopted conventionally. The ultimate grid-side current is controlled indirectly by control of inverter-side current. The ideal scenario is that grid-side current is directly controlled. However, the conventional control model is complicated and the calculation is heavy. This study proposed a novel direct grid-side current model predictive control (GSC-MPC) for GCI with LCL filter. Based on timing coordination of both forward and backward difference methods, a direct connection is established between the grid-side output current and the inverter-side output voltage. Meanwhile, a proper mathematical model is built for an improved model predictive control. The exact required voltage vector in the next sampling interval is predicted and calculated by this model. The output optimal voltage vector is modulated by space vector pulse width modulation technique to control the inverter. Furthermore, the proposed GSC-MPC is rather robust to parameter variation. Simulation and experimental results present that the proposed GSC-MPC can improve the current control performance effectively for GCI with LCL filter.

Resource Assessment and Techno-Economic Analysis of a Grid-Connected Solar PV-Wind Hybrid System for Different Locations in Saudi Arabia
摘要: The economic growth and demographic progression in Saudi Arabia increased spending on the development of conventional power plants to meet the national energy demand. The conventional generation and continued use of fossil fuels as the main source of electricity will raise the operational environmental impact of electricity generation. Therefore, using different renewable energy sources might be a solution to this issue. In this study, a grid-connected solar PV-wind hybrid energy system has been designed considering an average community load demand of 15,000 kWh/day and a peak load of 2395 kW. HOMER software is used to assess the potential of renewable energy resources and perform the technical and economic analyses of the grid-connected hybrid system. The meteorological data was collected from the Renewable Resources Atlas developed by the King Abdullah City of Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE). Four different cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, namely, the cities of Riyadh, Hafar Albatin, Sharurah, and Yanbu were selected to do the analyses. The simulation results show that the proposed system is economically and environmentally feasible at Yanbu city. The system at this city has the lowest net present cost (NPC) and levelized the cost of energy (LCOE), highest total energy that can be sold to the grid, as well as the lowest CO2 emissions due to a highly renewable energy penetration. This grid-connected hybrid system with the proposed con?guration is applicable for similar meteorological and environmental conditions in the region, and around the world. Reduction of some greenhouse gasses as well as the reduction of energy costs are main contributors of this research.
