    摘要: Aiming at the operation control strategy of photovoltaic energy storage microgrid system. According to the “self-generated self-use, excess electricity sent to grid” mode, this paper proposes an economic optimization operation control strategy that can considering the cost of energy storage system in real time. The simulation verification the strategy can be used. The energy storage system has two working modes, a grid- connected mode and an independent mode. A seamless energy storage converter mode switching control technique is proposed, and the experimental results are given to verify the correctness of the theory. In response to the time-of-use price, the self-adjusting control strategy can achieve better economic operation benefits. The historical data of a practical project case in a characteristic town in Qinghai was used to simulate the whole year operational status of the strategy. The results show that the proposed strategy can greatly improve the life of energy storage system. And strategy can make the photovoltaic energy storage microgrid system achieve better operating income.

  • A Case Study Comparison Between Photovoltaic And Fossil Generation Based On Direct Current Hybrid Microgrids To Power A Service Building

    摘要: The objective of this paper is to make a minutely comparison between 3 different DC microgrids by addressing their most outstanding advantages and disadvantages not only in technical terms, but also regarding other performance related aspects, such as a) measurement of the quality of the electrical supply of the facilities, b) reliability, and c) economic and environmental impact. Results show that in the best case, for all the microgrids, the accuracy of the measurements is around 99.45 %, with a weighted average of voltage applied to the load of 24.54 V. The building studied was reimagined into an autonomous and self-sustaining installation by using renewable electric power in direct current with a power distribution on 24 V. Additionally, the systems developed show a potential of greenhouse gas recovery close to 35.05 tCO2 per year, with a return of investment of 7 years for the renewable-based microgrid and 3 years return for the traditional microgrid. The novelty of this paper relies on the performance comparison of 3 different types of direct current microgrids, one grid-powered (A) based on traditional fuel generation, and two off-grid (B & C) based on photovoltaic energy generation, when feeding a building of considerable size and low operational flexibility.

  • Disturbance observer based robust voltage control of photovoltaic generator interfaced by current mode buck converter

    摘要: In this paper, a new control method for photovoltaic generator is presented. The novel method is implemented on photovoltaic generator charging a battery storage system thru buck converter. The controller tasks are re-shaping the buck plant converter, and cancel its right half-pole while keeping tight reference tracking and disturbance rejection. Moreover, the integrated system of generator-converter-load possesses nonlinear behavior due to the varying environmental conditions and the boundaries of photovoltaic generator versus battery state of charge, as revealed from an analysis of small-signal equations for possible unstable condition. It was shown that system constrains consequence in a complicated control task where standard controller of an inverse plant is insufficient to stabilize the system. Then a proportional integral controller is implemented. However, it is shown that varying closed-loop performance from over-damped to under-damped, depending on the operating point. Eventually utilizing a robust disturbance observer controller reveals that closed-loop performance remains nearly nominal throughout the entire operation range.

    摘要: We describe the general concept and practical feasibility of a dc-based open energy system (OES) that proposes an alternative way of exchanging intermittent energy between houses in a local community. Each house is equipped with a dc nanogrid, including photovoltaic panels and batteries. We extend these nanogrids with a bidirectional dc–dc converter and a network controller so that power can be exchanged between houses over an external dc power bus. In this way, demand-response ?uctuations are absorbed not only by the local battery, but can be spread over all batteries in the system. By using a combination of voltage and current controlled units, we implemented a higher-level control software independent from the physical process. A further software layer for autonomous control handles power exchange based on a distributed multiagent system, using a peer-to-peer like architecture. In parallel to the software, we made a physical model of a four-node OES on which different power exchange strategies can be simulated and compared. First results show an improved solar replacement ratio, and thus a reduction of ac grid consumption thanks to power interchange. The concept’s feasibility has been demonstrated on the ?rst three houses of a full-scale OES platform in Okinawa.

  • Photovoltaic-Wind and Hybrid Energy Storage Integrated Multi-Source Converter Configuration for DC Microgrid Applications

    摘要: In this paper, a new multi-source and Hybrid Energy Storage (HES) integrated converter configuration for DC microgrid applications is proposed. Unlike most of the multi-input converter configurations, a supercapacitor-battery based HES is interfaced which effectively handle the power fluctuations due to the wind, photovoltaic and sudden load disturbances. Integration of supercapacitor to respond for high-frequency fluctuations increase the lifetime of battery storage and reduce the sizing of the storage unit. The control structure is framed to achieve power balance in the system along with basic functionality such as operating renewable sources (PV and wind) at maximum power point and charging and discharging of energy storage based on power availability. The key highlights of the proposed configuration are: (i) Less number of switches, (ii) Voltage boosting, voltage regulation of supercapacitor and power-sharing among battery and supercapacitor are inherent, (iii) Simple control structure with a reduced number of sensors. The detailed analysis, modeling, and design of the proposed configuration and control structure are presented along with MATLAB simulations and experimental validations.

    摘要: This paper investigates the problem of proportionally fair double-sided energy auction involving buying and selling agents. The grid is assumed to be operating under islanded mode. A distributed auction algorithm that can be implemented by an aggregator, as well as a possible approach by which the agents may approximate price anticipation is considered. Equilibrium conditions arising due to price anticipation is analyzed. A modi?ed auction to mitigate the resulting loss in ef?ciency due to such behavior is suggested. This modi?ed auction allows the aggregate social welfare of the agents to be arbitrarily close to that attainable with price taking agents. Next, equilibrium conditions when the aggregator collects a surcharge price per unit of energy traded is examined. A bi-objective optimization problem is identi?ed that takes into account both the agents’ social welfare as well as the aggregator’s revenue from the surcharge. The results of extensive simulations, which corroborate the theoretical analysis, are reported.

  • A novel photovoltaic-pumped hydro storage microgrid applicable to rural areas

    摘要: This paper proposes a novel photovoltaic-pumped hydro storage microgrid design, which is more cost-effective than photovoltaic-battery systems. Existing irrigation infrastructure is modified in order to store energy at a low cost. This energy storage system pumps water from the bottom of a water well to a reservoir at ground level to store surplus energy in the form of gravitational potential energy. This stored water can be released back to the well through a turbine to generate clean electricity when it is needed, or it can be used for irrigation. This microgrid needs a complex management system that takes into account energy generation, energy demand, water demand, energy tariff, and system losses to determine pump power, turbine flow rate, as well as irrigation times. The proposed energy management system considers the current and future state of the system and compares cost-saving and feed-in income for each decision by using two forecasting methods and a multi-level optimisation algorithm. The performance of the management system is experimentally verified on a real pump and turbine. The objective of this study is not only to manage pump power and turbine flow rate, but also to manage irrigation times and water volume. The results show that adding irrigation and water management assist the energy management system in using stored water more efficiently. As a result, electricity costs are reduced by more than 31% compared to existing management methods. The proposed system is simulated in MATLAB to calculate annual electricity costs. The payback period and lifetime benefit of the proposed storage are calculated to investigate the economic aspects of the system.

    摘要: This paper presents a novel energy-management method for a microgrid that includes renewable energy, diesel generators, battery storage, and various loads. We assume that the microgrid takes part in a pool market and responds actively to the electricity price to maximize its profit by scheduling its controllable resources. To address various uncertainties, a risk-constrained scenario-based stochastic programming framework is proposed using the conditional value at risk method. The designed model is solved by two levels of stochastic optimization methods. One level of optimization is to submit optimal hourly bids to the day-ahead market under the forecast data. The other level of optimization is to determine the optimal scheduling using the scenario-based stochastic data of the uncertain resources. The proposed energy management system is not only beneficial for the microgrid and customers, but also applies the microgrid aggregator and virtual power plant. The results are shown to prove the validity of the proposed framework.

    摘要: With the energy crisis and environmental protection problems, residential photovoltaic generation technology has developed rapidly. This paper studies the optimized capacity configuration of photovoltaic generation and energy storage for residential microgrids containing photovoltaic generation and energy storage systems. An energy management strategy based on energy storage is proposed. Considering the electricity cost, electricity income and the cost of photovoltaic generation and energy storage system, the optimized capacity configuration model of photovoltaic generation and energy storage with the largest investment benefit/cost ratio is established. The genetic algorithm is used to solve the problem. Finally, the validity of the model and the solution method is verified in the specific residential microgrid.
