研究目的
To characterize the environmental behavior of a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) system and compare its environmental impacts with conventional power generation scenarios.
研究成果
The photovoltaic system at the National University of Colombia showed the lowest environmental impact during the 'Use' phase, with significant impacts occurring in the extraction and manufacturing, transport, and disposal phases. Coal-based energy generation had the highest environmental impact, particularly in human toxicity and climate change categories. The study highlights the sustainability of photovoltaic and hydroelectric systems, though their viability depends on geographic and meteorological factors.
研究不足
The study relies on secondary data from Ecoinvent V.3.1 for conventional generation scenarios, which may not fully capture local conditions in Colombia. Geographic and meteorological factors that could affect the viability of the systems were not deeply analyzed.
