Investigating the efficiency improvement of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) by solvothermal etching and/or TiCl4 treatment of TiO2 nanorod arrays (NRAs) based electron transport layer (ETL).

The study demonstrates that solvothermal etching and TiCl4 treatment of TiO2 NRAs can significantly improve the PCE of PSCs. The best performance was achieved with a PCE of 15.16%, attributed to the reduction of traps and voids in the TiO2 NRs and the enhancement of the effective light absorption area.
