研究目的
Investigating the formation of inert gas clusters in sputter-deposited thin film CdTe solar cells and exploring methods to minimize their impact to fabricate higher efficiency solar devices.
研究成果
The energy threshold for Ar to penetrate a perfect CdTe lattice is ≈6 eV, with large clusters forming interstitially. The CdCl2 treatment at 400°C causes large Ar bubbles and voids at the CdTe/CdS interface, leading to delamination. Strategies to reduce bubble formation include increasing gas pressure in the magnetron and using a heavier gas like Xe. Further study is needed to understand the effect of Cl on Ar accumulation.
研究不足
The study does not fully analyze the effect of chlorine treatment on Ar accumulation, which is significant for understanding the complete mechanism of large cluster formation. Additionally, the practical implementation of suggested strategies to reduce bubble formation, such as increased gas pressure or use of heavier gases like Xe, requires further experimental validation.
