Water-sensitive ratiometric fluorescent probes and application to test strip for rapid and reversible detection of water
摘要: Naphthalimide-decorated fluorinated acetamides 1 and 2 were developed as solvent-sensitive dual emissive fluorescence probes. Particularly, 1 exhibited dual emission with a large Stokes shift for water, DMF, and DMSO solvents over other various organic solvents. The dual emission might be due to the increase of intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) of the naphthalimide moiety through the association of the difluorinated acetamide group with the solvent molecules. The 1 can give rise to a ratiometric change in the dual emission and a visual fluorescent color change depending on the water contents in organic solvents, including ethanol, methanol, acetonitrile and DMF solvents. Moreover, the 1-impregnated paper strips showed a rapid and easy-to-visualize fluorescent color change enabling water detection in organic solvents. These simple-to-use paper strips were also found to be reusable over 20 times.

Synthesis, In Vitro and In Vivo Behaviour of TiO2 Containing Inorganic/Organic Hybrids
摘要: In the present study inorganic/organic hybrids reinforced by introducing titanium (TiO2) in the form of Ti-n-butoxide were prepared. The phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the prepared hybrids were investigated. Increasing the titanium content gradually enhanced the mechanical data of the prepared hybrids. The formation of apatite on the surface of the prepared hybrids was examined in SBF (simulated body fluid). In vivo studies revealed the ability of the hybrids to regenerate bone tissue in femur defects of adult male rabbits five months after surgery. The prepared hybrids are considered to be promising materials for bone substitutes or bone filler.

Thus, is create competition between semiconductor manufacturer to achieve low cost, high productivity, fast delivery and time to market are the vital factors to the success. Therefore, encouragement from manufacturer to looking for creative ideas with cost down reduction and high productivity [1]. Cost reduction covers a wide range such as package design optimization, process flow improvement and also testing which is the final gate before ship out the good and quality parts to customers. This paper provides the implementation of PhotoMOS relay to enhance the stability, sustainability and fastens the measurement in semiconductor automatic testing application. Relays are an essential part in semiconductor testing application and responsible as a switch to turn on and turn off the supply voltages or currents from tester instrument through test program control during testing to ensure functionality of electronic component meeting the specification before delivering to the consumer application. The relay functionality is sensitive especially in timing, resistances and frequency because it would influence the testing measurement results, induce instability of test program and result in unnecessary yield loss and capacity loss. However, this can be resolving through optimization test program. Nevertheless, there is a limitation of the mechanical relay which could not further or resolve through the test program. In this paper, an introduction of the PhotoMOS relays and differences as compared to mechanical relays (Pickering), experimental verification results in term of switching time, resistances of the relay and hot switch in Teradyne uFLEX tester platform for speed sensor devices.

摘要: This paper provides experimental results of a utility-scale (500 kW) solar PV inverter during simulated grid disturbances. This device was tested using simulations of system voltage during simulated distribution and transmission faults, and voltage records that were collected during the Blue Cut Fire Event. The methods used for testing the three different scenarios of grid disturbances are detailed and the test setup is described. Additionally, the test results for each of the grid events are provided and an analysis of the test results is given. The test results show that the tested PV inverter's response to grid disturbances depends in part on the fault-induced phase shift and harmonic content of the system voltage. These factors can impact the inverters ability to accurately calculate system frequency and can cause erroneous tripping on miscalculated frequency. The information provided in this paper can inform utilities, manufacturers, developers, and system planners of the potential performance of solar PV inverters during grid events.

Gold nanoparticles of different shape for bicolor lateral flow test
摘要: Spherical gold nanoparticles are the most commonly used marker in lateral flow assays. However, the widespread practice of using identical coloration for the test and control zones of test strips can lead to erroneous interpretations of the assay’s results. We propose an immunochromatographic test strip with lines of different colors. For this purpose, gold nanoparticles of different shapes were used, namely blue nanoflowers in the test zone and red gold nanospheres in the control zone. A detailed synthesis procedure for nanoparticles and their conjugates is considered and design parameters for optimal results are described. For the first time, nanoparticles of different shapes have been combined in the test strip with indirect labeling of specific antibodies (via their interaction with labeled secondary antibodies). Using the T-2 toxin (T2T) as an example, an instrumental detection limit of 30 pg/mL and a working range 0.06-0.9 ng/mL were achieved in an analysis of water-organic corn extracts.

An omnidirectional DIC system for dynamic strain measurements on soft biological parts to An omnidirectional DIC system for dynamic strain measurement on soft biological tissues and organs
摘要: A limitation to the potential use of inverse methods in identifying the spatially varying properties of biological tissues consists in obtaining the required set of experimental data. In fact, whereas on the numerical side there are almost no limits to complexity in terms of geometry and material behavior of the model, on the experimental side, the collection of full-field displacement and strain data over the full surface of complex 3D geometries still represents a challenge. To address this issue, this work proposes an omnidirectional-DIC method capable of obtaining full-field information over the entire surface of native intact biological parts undergoing large deformation. This is made possible by the use of a concave conical mirror that enlarges the field of view of a conventional binocular stereo-DIC system up to 360° × 320°. The pair of highly distorted panoramic scenes reflected by the conical mirror are then matched by using a novel iterative image deformation scheme. In particular, first, a robust feature-based algorithm is used to calculate the gross disparity between images, then, an iterative NURBS-based intensity interpolation scheme refines the correlation through a hybrid local-global DIC approach. The accuracy of the developed image matching scheme was evaluated on synthetically generated images simulating a large and heterogeneous deformation field. Then, the potential of the proposed omnidirectional-DIC method was tested with rubber analogs reproducing the most representative geometries and loading states involved in biological materials characterization. Finally, as an illustrative example of application, full-field DIC shape and deformation measurements was performed over a whole porcine eye tested in-vitro under reproduced physiological load.

Performance enhancement of ZnO nanorod-based enzymatic glucose sensor via reduced graphene oxide deposition and UV irradiation
摘要: This paper reports the performance enhancement of a ZnO nanorod-based enzymatic glucose sensor with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) introduced between the ZnO nanorods and indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode and then stimulated under UV irradiation. The electrochemical characterization indicates that the rGO not only facilitates electron transfer through the ZnO nanorods to the ITO electrode but also inhibits the fast recombination of the photo-generated electrons and holes. The UV irradiation stimulates holes in the valence band of the ZnO nanorods, which as oxidants enhance the catalytic activity of the glucose oxidase (GOx) towards glucose. The rGO increases the sensitivity of the ZnO nanorod-based glucose sensor by 1.6 times and decreases the detection limit by 2.3 times. Together with the rGO, the UV irradiation further increases the sensitivity by 1.7 times and diminishes the detection limit by 2 times. Moreover, the as-prepared glucose sensors exhibit excellent selectivity to urea, uric acid, and ascorbic acid, and can reliably determine the glucose concentration in a serum sample. The results have the potential to improve the performance of other enzymatic biosensors.

HMD-based cover test system for the diagnosis of ocular misalignment
摘要: The diagnosis of ocular misalignment is difficult and needs examination by ophthalmologists and orthoptists. However, there are not enough qualified personnel to perform such diagnoses. The eye position check is in part systematized. With this check system, we can detect not only the symptoms but also the angle and the extent of strabismus. However, the types of strabismus that can be detected with this technique are limited to exotropia. The purpose of this study is to develop a simplified check system to screen at least the presence of strabismus apart from the type of strabismus or amount of ocular deviation. First, we digitalized the check process. Specifically, we digitized the elemental technology, i.e., the cover–uncover function, required for automation of the typical cover test for eye position check. Furthermore, we developed and implemented an abnormality determination process and evaluated the performance of the system through this experiment, the results of which indicated a higher detection capability than the conventional cover test performed by ophthalmologists and orthoptists.

Construction of a Novel Fluorescent Probe for On-site Measuring Hydrogen Sulfide Levels in Food Samples
摘要: Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been involved in many foodstuffs and beverages. On-site measuring the H2S level in food samples was beneficial to the concerns about food safety and food quality. Herein, we rationally constructed a novel fluorescent probe to track the H2S levels in various food samples. The optical experiments indicated that the probe displayed highly selective and sensitive response to H2S. In addition, the probe can function well in a wide pH value condition, providing a reliable platform to sense H2S. The practical application demonstrated that the probe was applied for tracking H2S levels in banana, grape, and vinegar for the first time. Importantly, by fabricating test strips, the probe was first served to monitor the released H2S in raw meat without relying on elaborate instrumentation. Thus, the probe could be employed as a simple tool to measure the H2S levels in various food samples, as well as to monitor the fresh-like quality of raw meat under on-site conditions.

Detection of visual field defects by opticians - with Damato Multifixation Campimetry Online
摘要: Purpose: To study Damato Multifixation Campimetry Online (DMCO), an inexpensive online visual field test, used for screening at optician shops in Denmark. Methods: This was an evaluation of a diagnostic test and customers were included if minimum 50 years old, with a visual acuity of minimum 0.5 and with less myopia than 6 D. Standard equipment was a computer, a wireless mouse and a computer monitor. We used the 'DMCO STANDARD 4,5' algorithm for screening. DMCO results were electronically transmitted to the authors. Customers with a positive DMCO test received an eye examination including the reference standard Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer 30–2 SITA Fast test. A subset of control participants with a negative DMCO test received the same examination in order to estimate the number of false and true negatives. DMCO specificity and sensitivity were estimated according to five reference standards with 95% confidence intervals. Results: The population comprised 627 individuals, 381 women and 246 men, from 13 optician shops. Mean age was 62 years (SD 7.4). DMCO was positive in 32 individuals and 27 individuals were classified as 'true positives' with diagnoses such as glaucoma, cataract and neurological visual field defects. Of the 595 individuals with a negative DMCO test, 110 were examined and nine individuals were classified as 'false negatives' according to diagnoses. Depending on reference the specificity was 97–99% and sensitivity was 14–69%. Conclusion: Screening with DMCO demonstrated high specificity, whereas sensitivity was unsatisfactory. Future studies with enough power to estimate the true sensitivity is needed.
